LinkShare Node Network — Share & Earn ("the extension") lets you opt in to sharing part of your unused internet connection with the network operated by Mellowtel (mellowtel.com), and rewards you for the bandwidth-sharing jobs your browser handles, with payouts through PayPal. This policy lists, in full, what data is collected, why, where it goes, and every party that receives it.

Your opt-in choice, the connection state and the job counter are stored by the Mellowtel library in your browser's extension storage. They are not sent to us, except for the job counter described above.

3. Bandwidth sharing through Mellowtel — what it actually does

Sharing is optional and starts only after you accept the opt-in prompt. You can turn it off at any time (popup → "Manage bandwidth sharing settings"). While it is on and at least one regular web page (http/https) is open in your browser, the following happens:

• Jobs run in hidden frames. The network's partners can request public web pages, which the Mellowtel library loads in hidden frames inside a page you have open, using your internet connection.
• Security headers are relaxed. To load those pages, the library adds temporary browser rules that remove frame and security response headers (X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy and the Cross-Origin-Embedder/Opener/Resource-Policy headers) from frame requests, and that relax CORS headers on some image and XHR requests. While such a rule is active, it applies to frames and images loaded in your browser, not only to the library's own jobs, which can reduce the protection those headers normally give. The library removes the rules after each job.
• A request on every page you open. On each regular web page you open, the library requests a small image from a server operated by Mellowtel (hosted on Amazon Web Services). Like any web request, it reveals your IP address and, by default, the address (origin) of the page you are on, unless the site sets a stricter referrer policy.
• Connection to Mellowtel. The library connects to Mellowtel's servers and sends a Mellowtel device identifier (random, and containing the extension's integration ID), the extension ID, the library version and a connection-speed measurement, in addition to your IP address.
• Speed test. To measure your connection speed, the library downloads a small test file from Cloudflare's speed-test service (speed.cloudflare.com), which sees your IP address.

We do not control what Mellowtel and its partners log or do with the data they receive; see mellowtel.com.

4. What we do not collect

• Your name, address or government ID
• Your browsing history: the extension itself only checks, on your device, whether a regular web page is open, and does not store or send page addresses (but see the per-page request in section 3, which the library makes to Mellowtel, not to us)
• Passwords or payment card numbers
• Your precise location

5. Every party the data is shared with

We do not sell your data and share it with no one beyond the parties above.

6. Rewards

You are rewarded per bandwidth-sharing job, based on the job counter above. Earnings depend on how much work the network sends your browser and are not guaranteed; you may receive few jobs, or none.

7. Retention

Your identifier, counter and balance are kept while you use the extension. If you request a withdrawal, your PayPal email is kept for bookkeeping and to resolve payment issues. Server logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Because your account is not linked to your name by default, include the PayPal email you used or your random identifier (visible in the extension's storage). Requests about data held by Mellowtel or Cloudflare must be sent to them.
